Privacy
Sherwood Shul's website collects only what you type into it, and uses it only for shul business.
What we collect
When you fill in a form - a donation, sponsorship, kiddush, space rental, event sign-up, survey, the shul emails or a message to the office - we keep what you enter: usually your name, email, phone number, and any dedication or note. If you ask us to let someone know about a gift, we keep their name and email to send that one notice.
How we use it
To answer you, arrange what you asked for, send receipts and statements, keep the shul's records, and send the shul emails you signed up for. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it with anyone outside the shul except the services below that make the site work.
Payments
Card payments are handled by Stripe. Your card number goes straight to Stripe and never reaches the shul; we see only the amount, the date and the details you gave us.
Services we use
The site runs on Google Firebase and Cloudflare, and Cloudflare Turnstile checks that forms are filled in by a person rather than a robot. These services see the technical details any website does, such as your IP address, to deliver pages and block abuse.
Cookies and tracking
There are no advertising or analytics trackers on this site. Your browser keeps a copy of the davening calendar so the page loads faster; you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
Your choices
To see, correct or remove what we hold about you, or to stop the shul emails, please contact the office or call 248-470-9181.
